What started on the frame of a 12x20’ shed a 3 years ago became the labor of love I never dreamed of—every piece of rock, tile and trim was hand built and finished by me and my buddy and this 100% off grid (but easily put on grid) luxe cabin has been built to last—no creaks, no gaps, no easy entry for critters, rain, wind or anything Mother Nature has to offer. Add to it is a fully screen enclosed 10x20” deck and 2 attached sheds—one houses the solar set up (over 8k in equipment including 8 gel 200ahm batteries) and the other home to the 2 ibc water tanks, pump, and brand new tankless propane hot water heater. All of this on a gravel foundation with the bottom fully insulated. Inside has spacious bathroom with full shower, sink, and flush toilet. Propane stove top built in, handbuilt Kitchen, stunning rock wall behind the 5k European wood stove sets the vibe. Propane heater levels the temp as well as 2 way light/fan and 6 windows. Double lofts sleep 2 each and adding 2 more on the ground level is a snap. 6 comfortably is a real feat with plenty of power and water for everyone. I’ve been enjoying the home in its finished state on weekends for about a year—the home and all finishes are practically brand new. In all, I’ve put over 75k into the house and it never ceases to wow! I’ve lost access to the land it’s set on and work has me on the road more than at home. Passing this on to an individual or couple even a family feels like the right thing to do. The house can be moved on a flat bed without issue.
